Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams on CBS Sunday Morning

Did you all catch a couple of our favorite furniture designers on CBS Sunday Morning last weekend? Mitchell Gold and Bob Williams were featured for their unconventional way of starting a business, becoming furniture designers, and managing a business. The pair are known for their own distinctive style in furniture and management, but did you know that their #1 goal in creating furniture in 1989 was something not widely embraced? Comfort.
Their first adventure in creating comfortable furniture came in the form of a clip-covered dining room chair, an item that is still represented in their line today. From there, business boomed with Gold heading up the business department and Williams on design.
Today, this one-time outspoken couple have done amazing work for the gay community and in creating a thriving environment for their employees. The pair co-founded Faith in America, and organization fighting faith-based discrimination against gays and lesbians. Gold also penned the book Youth in Crisis: What Everyone Should Know About Growing Up Gay as a resource for kids and teens coming out. In their business, they support their employees by offering perks like daycare, gourmet foods at affordable prices and concierge service.
Thank you to Mitchell Gold and Bob Williams for all that you do for others. If you haven't seen the clip yet, be sure to check it out!
